A Norwegiean Split Toe boot, NST, which is part of our range of workwear boots from the well-known Spanish brand Yanko. Goodyear welted and featuring a 360° sole seam with a storm welt for extra water resistance, with a Vibram rubber sole that is both durable and has good grip also in sub-zero temperatures. Built on the W923 last with a round toe box.
Made in dark brown chromex leather, which is a so-called pull-up leather that has been stuffed with natural oils and waxes to make it extra durable, and which acquires a lovely patina over time. Chromex is made from larger cowhides to be thick and durable, which also means it has more of a natural character. Depending on batch, it can vary how waxy the surface is, for more lustre you can buff it up with a moist cotton cloth or a dry nylon cloth. Fully leather lined, brass eyelets, leather board heel stiffeners that conform nicely to your feet.
Yanko is one of the oldest still active classic shoe brands from Spain, founded in 1961. They were one of the world's largest manufacturers of Goodyear welted shoes in the late 20th century, producing over a million pairs of shoes each year. Today they are clearly smaller, but have a solid reputation as an affordable manufacturer of quality shoes.
We're pleased to be able to offer welted boots fully made in Europe from full grain leather at such a competitive price. They need to go through the factory a little quicker and the level of finishing is a bit more basic, but it's surely a lot of shoes for the money, and after all it's footwear that's meant to take a beating.
